Dr. Sumachaya Harnsukworapanich, DTP system analyst from Digital Humanities Center, presented an editing program for canonical text developed by DTP “Introduction to the Indic Text Analysis Program (ITAP)” at the 17th World Sanskrit Conference hosted by Department of Asian Studies, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada.
In the 69th JAIBS conference Dr. Bunchird Chawarithreonglith, Head of Tipiṭaka Research Center, presented the topic on “Examples and Issues of the Usage of the Commentaries – As a Tool for Creating a Critical Edition of the Dīghanikāya –” and Dr. Suchada Srisetthaworakul, Head of Center for the Study of Ancient Manuscripts, presented the topic on “Comparison of Majjhimanikāya Texts of Selected Khom Script Manuscripts Found in Thailand and Cambodia”.
Tipiṭaka Research Center (TRC) arranged the 1st Seminar on Pāli Texts and Manuscripts on the topic “Philological Points in the Dīghanikāya and Majjhimanikāya Based on Palm-leaf Manuscripts from Five Traditions” at DCI (Bang Ban), Ayutthaya. The program included 10 presentations from Burmese, Sinhalese, and Thai researchers. The guest commentators were Ven. Associate Prof. Dr Candamukha, Dr. Utain Wongsathit, and Dr.Yukio Yamanaka.
